Ed Hardy Love Cross leggings

For Christmas, my sister gave me a pair of these trendy Ed Hardy Love Cross leggings (check out her well-stocked ebay store!). I had a chance to wear them for the first time today while hiking in nearby Runyon Canyon, and boy, were they comfortable! The leggings are made of nice, stretchy cotton and offer a slimming silhouette. And even though I don't usually wear flashy logos, the cool pattern down the side of the leg definitely sets these apart from other humdrum workout clothes. Something about Ed Hardy pieces mixed with more lowkey items seems to work really well, and after I paired these leggings with a plain gray-blue Daftbird tee, I definitely felt like I was rocking a pretty trendy workout outfit--perfect for climbing the hills of Runyon Canyon!

Wonder Woman tee

The Glendale Kitson store has been having some unbelievable sales lately. The other day I snatched up a form-fitting Kova & T high-waisted skirt, and today I bought two Junk Food tees for $10 apiece because I just couldn't resist. Even though I hardly ever wear printed tees--except to the gym or to bed--I thought it would be fun to toss this Wonder Woman baseball tee into my wardrobe and mix things up a little. The slightly faded logo and worn-in material definitely give the tee a vintage feel, and it's super comfortable for those days when I just don't feel like dressing up (which are admittedly rare, but do happen!). I want to pair this tee with a motorcycle jacket, denim, and a broken in hobo bag for an easy weekend look that's lowkey and ready to go in a few minutes.

On Sale: Society for Rational Dress

Sometimes--not all the time--but occasionally, I'll find a totally awesome steal, like this belt top from Society for Rational Dress. Made of liquid soft silk and micromodal fabric, the shirt's most special feature is the leather belt loop details at each shoulder, creating floaty oversized sleeves. The look is so ethereal and romantic, and I love how they've paired it with a turquoise skirt and belt on the model. But since my everyday routine usually requires a more dressed-down uniform, I think the top could look great in a more casual outfit, paired with my new Ksubi skinnies and Jeffrey Campbell heels. Originally $188 to $94, this is the perfect top to usher in the spring!

On Sale: Double Buckle belt

I wear belts from time to time, but they are by no means a staple accessory in my wardrobe. However, there's been a recent influx of funky, interesting belts in stores, and I love the way you can change up a look with the help of a single accessory. This Moss Mills Liv Double-Buckle 3-inch belt is part of the wide belt family, and I can see it working very well cinching in a tunic or short skirt. I sometimes wear a wide belt buckled over a button-down shirt and always garner compliments about my figure when I do so, even though it's the belt that's working to define my waist! Made of suede with a vintage nickel double buckle, this cool gray tone works with all colors of the rainbow without clashing.

Crowned Crane Bedding

Since I moved into my L.A. apartment, I've dreamed of decorating it in all neutral and white tones, conveying the feeling of an open, clean space. The gorgeous crowned crane bedding at Anthropologie was to be the first step in my mission to make my apartment the kind you see in interior design magazines. However, the price of said bedding stopped me in my tracks and it absolutely refuses to go on sale (trust me, I've been checking the website once a week since last July!). As much as I covet the lovely origami folds and wooden flower buttons of this very elegantly understated bedding, I refuse to cough up hundreds of dollars for it. So if you know of any similar alternatives for a better price, please let me know because you'd be doing me a great favor!

Alex & Chloe wedding bands

On Saturday, I attended an event at the Revolve store in West Hollywood. The party was to celebrate the debut of Alex & Chloe's exclusive wedding rings for Revolve--14-karat gold bands with inverted diamonds. Plus, the store had a big display of Alex & Chloe accessories on sale that evening, so of course I perused the collection. I was hooked by a necklace called Chloe's Swords, a pair of swords made of gold mirror acrylic that should add a funky, unique twist to a simple outfit. One woman working the event was wearing these gorgeous Alex & Chloe sterling silver triangle earrings, and offered to let me purchase them on the spot (since they're brand new and the only ones available) but I'm glad I held off because I just spotted this cute pair of hexagon hoop earrings on the website!

Ksubi super skinnies

Ever since my early years at college, I've coveted a pair of Ksubi (then spelled Tsubi) jeans. To me, they appeared like the most ideal skinny jeans and, as all my friends well know, I'm a devoted fan of the skinnies since they go with pretty much everything in my wardrobe! But Ksubis aren't that easy to come by, partly because it's an Australian brand. As the jeans grow more popular (celebs like Nicole Richie have been seen in them), they've also become more easily accessible. I finally took the plunge and purchased a pair of these super skinny zip jeans, which were on sale no less, from an Australian website that offers free shipping. I'm crossing my fingers that the fit will be as great as I've hoped all these years and will keep you updated as soon as they arrive in the mail!

Alexander Wang's hobo bag

When I saw this Alexander Wang Donna hobo at the Barney Co-op store, I gravitated towards it like a moth to a flame. It's made of pure, soft black leather, feels wonderful, and looks even better. The four zipper pockets --more compartments are always a huge bonus for me--have already won me over, and the overall size of the bag is just right. Plus, right now I'm so into bags that I can just sling across my shoulder and not have to worry about adjusting. It's so much more convenient, especially when (like me) you're always rushing around and in a hurry, and totally gives off that effortless, low-maintenance look we all strive to achieve. But who am I kidding? This Alexander Wang hobo is priced at $795, so it'll be a long, long time before I can afford this badass bag!

No matter what, Rihanna manages to look fierce 24/7. She tends to choose really strong, outstanding pieces--like this top completely smothered in ruffles--and wears them with total confidence and a devil-may-care attitude, which is one of the things I love about her fashion sense! This head-to-toe black ensemble is just another of her ballsy signature looks.

A long-sleeved minidress

On this model, this Savee Couture floral minidress looks a little sexier than I envision it on myself--what with her tan, blonde hair, and cleavage! But when I saw it, I was instantly attracted to the Japanese-style cherry blossoms print and how the colors--beige, pink, green and black--looked so striking together. I think this could be a fun piece to play around with, especially since I rarely wear floral patterns. I also have a thing for minidresses with long sleeves, which I think adds a nice balance of modesty to an otherwise skin-baring outfit.

Fluid modern cuffs

I recently blogged about how I'm looking for the right pair of bracelets or cuffs to wear as my signature accessory. While on the hunt for the perfect pair, I came across these modern looking Elizabeth and James bold silver cuffs. I'm such a fan of the line's clothing, so it's easy to translate that love onto the jewelry that Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are selling under the line. I mean, take a look at this beauty! The cuff is big and bold, possessing a kind of fluid, organic quality about it, with the cut outs and curved shape. My only gripe is its price, which is a whopping $525 for mere sterling silver! We're not even talking 18k gold here. Apparently, the cuff is sold out on Revolve's website too... and here I thought we were in a recession! For now, I'll just have to admire from afar and scrounge eBay for this lovely creation.

On Sale: Ed Hardy's shin boots

I'm going to take this opportunity to express how much I love my Ed Hardy shin boots, which I've blogged about in the past. I wore them for the first time to the office the other day (thank God for workplaces that allow us to dress pretty much however we want!) and got an avalanche of really nice compliments. Of course, there was a smattering of glitter on the floor when I got up to leave, and some other people in the building (who must adhere to stricter dress codes) gave me strange looks in the elevator, but I was so excited to show off my awesome shoe purchase! It has recently come to my attention that the boots, in this brown version on the left, are on sale, about $30 less than when I bought them at the Wild Pair store. So if you're itching for a new pair of stylin' kicks, hurry and snatch them up before they're all sold out!
