Rachel Bilson's Abaete dress

Recognize Rachel Bilson's Abaete dress, which she wore to a movie premiere last November? It's available at Shop Intuition for $495 and I'm seriously contemplating the purchase. Of course the dress looks stunning on Rach's petite figure, but I have a feeling the asymmetrical bodice and black band around the waist will accentuate all shapes. The silk dress comes in a black and pink combo as well, but I love the color scheme Rachel chose--sharp white, azure blue, and that narrow strip of black to define the waistline. The design is elegant, but the dress maintains a youthful and fresh feel, especially paired with simple accessories and long, flowing hair, a la Bilson.

Taking a cue from Rihanna: Vanessa Bruno's Cassis Top

While performing "Take A Bow" at the 19th Annual MuchMusic Video Awards, Rihanna--noted style icon--donned yet another showstopping ensemble. In skintight rubber pants, fierce lace-up boots, and an elaborately ruffled black top (and don't forget that policeman's hat!), she rocked the stage. While her outfit is too showy for everyday, this Vanessa Bruno top reminds me of Rihanna's and is far more wearable for those of us who aren't famous celebs! You can copy Rihanna's tough "good girl gone bad" look by pairing the top with your sexiest sky-high boots, or play it sweet with girly heels and accessories.

Style Inspiration: Rihanna

What can't Rihanna do? First she got all of us singing about umbrellas. And now, in just the past few days, she has cemented her status as a style icon. At her "Good Girl Gone Bad" screening party, she was spotted wearing a body-conscious dress with a sheer back and subtle checkered pattern. Then while visiting BET 106 & Park, she topped off her funky outfit (love the sharp blazer and the innovative cut of her dress) with absolutely stunning knee-high Balenciaga gladiator boots. Rihanna is definitely young and spunky enough to pull off those busy graphics and complicated straps! The sexy shoes were striking and incorporated the tribal pattern trend into her chic black outfit.

Leaving a performance at Madison Square Garden, Rihanna was seen in a long black blazer over a spangled red dress. Every detail in this outfit just seems on point to me, from the flat sandals to the length of the blazer to the pretty, layered hemline of her dress. This is definitely a cocktail party look I'd want to imitate!

On Sale: Audrina's 3.1 Phillip Lim Dress

One of my favorite outfits from The Hills' Audrina Patridge is this 3.1 Phillip Lim dress she wore to the Cloverfield premiere back in January (appropriately, the color of the dress is called clover). I first spotted it at a Neiman Marcus store in Las Vegas, tried it on, and loved it--just not the price tag ($595.00)! The swingy fit is comfortable, yet the adorable rose appliques and vivid green color are dressy enough for a formal event. Shop Zoe is offering the dress on sale for $416.00 now, if you're interested in snagging Audrina's style!

White Hot Natalie

Nowadays, Natalie Portman seems to favor frothy, dramatically ruffled dresses, and her recent appearance at amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS 2008 benefit is no exception. In snow white Givenchy, Natalie looked both angelic and edgy at the same time. The asymmetrical neckline shows off her lovely neck and shoulders, while the tiered skirt displays a flirty flash of leg. I love the shredded look of the skirt but the only thing I'd change about Natalie's outfit is her shoes. With such a fun and fearless dress, I wish she had veered away from boring, black heels and tried something crazy. No worries though, because she still looks absolutely fabulous...perhaps even better than the runway model who wore it on Givenchy's Spring 2008 Couture Collection runway!
