A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who has given me suggestions on where to shop in London and Paris for my upcoming trip! I especially want to thank Haute World for her amazing, comprehensive list of recommendations! I've visited the two beautiful cities in the past as a teenager but in those days, I certainly didn't possess the same appreciation for fashion, food, culture and history that I do now. I'm grateful that my work has given me this thrilling opportunity to revisit Europe... with a more mature perspective of the world!

In anticipation, I've been sporting my Alex & Chloe Paris tee, picking up useful French phrases, and struggling to decide what to pack! As you all know, I've been trying to find the perfect bday dress, but as it turns out--I'll be celebrating my 25th in The City of Lights. I plan on finding The Dress and wearing it that night at some pretty restaurant with a view of the Eiffel Tower. There's no better place to usher in my quarter life crisis! :)

I've dubbed these jeans my Ashley Tisdale jeans. After doing some photo research for work, I noticed Ashley wearing this ripped white pair a few times... and the more pictures I saw, the more I wanted them (this photo research business is proving dangerous to my bank account). After a quick scan through some of my favorite websites, I found out the maker (Siwy) and bought them, thinking they'd be a great summer staple. They're comfy, stretchy, distressed to just the right degree, and white. I have not worn a pair of white jeans since elementary school so I'm excited to break these in all summer long!

Overdressing

It's funny to think that I used to be teased for the way I dressed. At a young age, I had a distinct idea of how I wanted to look and and would come to elementary school in my favorite printed sundresses or bright flouncy skirts. Looking back, with all the girls wearing Converse high tops and Gap denim shorts, I probably looked overdressed for the fourth grade. I remember being taunted everyday by one particular bully (I guess you'd call her a "frenemy" nowadays), who would always sneer and say, "Like seriously, Tiffany? You need a new wardrobe." Back then, I'd come home and cry to my mom, who played--and still does play--a great role in my love of fashion and dressing up. Fifteen years later, I'm still overdressed among most of my groups of friends... except now, I really don't care!

Out & About: Royal touch

Who: Rachel Bilson

What: Launching her new Edie Rose collection for DKNY Jeans at Macy's

Where: New York City

Wearing: Slim black pants and a black blazer with white piping from her own line, a royal purple scarf, and gorgeous studded black boots

When: October 4, 2008

I've always loved her look, and R-Bils doesn't disappoint here. The boots are definitely the focal point of her outfit, but I also love the sleek simplicity of her blazer and the colorful, patterned scarf as a bright accent.
